Rifter diesel power loss
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Peugeot Rifter diesel is experiencing power loss, sluggish acceleration, increased fuel consumption, and rough idling, with an error message related to the fuel filter heater. The problem is suspected to be caused by a defective cable or plug connection. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle checked by a workshop, as modern diesel engines are sensitive to such issues. The issue was resolved by fixing a defective connection to the fuel filter heater, restoring the vehicle's performance.

It is worse when the engine is cold! How did you resolve the issue with your Insignia? Was it also related to the fuel filter?

Yep, cold starts were a nightmare. It wasn't exactly the fuel filter itself in my case, but the system around it. Given your symptoms and the error code pointing to the fuel filter heater, I'd strongly suggest getting it checked by a workshop. These modern diesels are sensitive, and you don't want to risk further damage by guessing.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. It turned out to be a defective connection to the fuel filter heater, just as the error code suggested. 95€ later, it's running perfectly again!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Insignia. Same symptoms: error codes, power loss, rough idle. Is it worse when the engine is cold?
