Rifter Fuel Pressure Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2023 Peugeot Rifter, gasoline engine. It has 151765 km. The check engine light came on, and the engine runs rough and sometimes stalls at idle. It also jerks when I accelerate. I think it might be a fuel delivery issue, maybe the fuel system or a bad fuel injector. Could it be the fuel pressure sensor, and how can I check it before replacing it?

The symptoms do point to a fuel pressure issue, but it could be several things. Before you replace the sensor, check its wiring and the plug connection carefully. A loose or corroded connector can act like a bad sensor. It's like a loose wire on a lamp, the lamp isn't broken, just the connection.

Thanks. What electrical values or signals should I look for when testing the fuel pressure sensor's wiring and plug to see if there's a fault? What tool should I use?

Use a multimeter to check for voltage at the sensor connector with the ignition on. Check your Rifter's wiring diagram for the exact values. Also, test the ground connection for continuity. If those are good, then it could be a faulty sensor, or rarely, an ECU issue. If you're not sure, take it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. The cable to the fuel pressure sensor was indeed defective. I had it repaired at a workshop for 95€. The engine stalling and rough running are gone, and the check engine light is off.
