Rifter High Fuel Consumption

Guys, I'm pulling my hair out here! I have a 2022 Peugeot Rifter with a gasoline engine, and lately it's been acting up. My fuel consumption has gone through the roof, and it's starting really rough. Could it be the throttle valve? I've only got 14390 km on the clock. Is it even possible? I’m thinking maybe it's dirty. What do you think?

I had similar issues with my Rifter. Is the car jerking when accelerating? High fuel consumption and poor starting can be symptoms of a faulty throttle position sensor. Have you checked the air intake for any obstructions?

Jerking? A little, yeah. But a faulty sensor already? How can I check the air intake properly? What am I even looking for?

The jerking and the fuel consumption do point towards a throttle issue. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They said the accelerator pedal module was defective. Might be worth getting it checked professionally.

Okay, thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Defective accelerator pedal module. Cost me 205€, but at least it's fixed now! Cheers!
