RNessa fuel level sensor fault

My 2001 Nissan RNessa with a gasoline engine has a check engine light and stalls at idle. Error memory says fuel level sensor fault. Could it be a fuse, or something worse? Mileage is 99865 km. Anyone else had this?

RNessa owner here too. I had similar issues, though I didn't check any error memory. The fuel gauge was all over the place, and the car stalled a couple of times. Did you try cleaning the contacts on the sensor?

Were your symptoms like mine – check engine light, stalling, fuel level sensor fault in the error memory? Where are these contacts? Are they easy to reach?

My check engine light was on as well, now that I remember. I didn't mess with it myself. I took it to a workshop. They said it was the sensor. I'd recommend getting it checked.

A trip to the workshop was right. It was a faulty fuel level sensor. The repair cost 52€, and fixed the RNessa.
