Thanks for sharing your experience with the RS6. Your description really matches what Im seeing with my RS4. Just had the warning light come on again this morning. Did you remember roughly how much the repair ended up costing? And has everything been working properly since they replaced those bellows valve and air spring parts? Want to make sure I budget correctly and go in prepared when I take it to the shop. Also wondering if they found any other issues with the pneumatic suspension while they had it apart. These air suspension systems seem to have multiple potential failure points.

Just got back from the mechanic last week after fixing the same issue on my RS6. Total repair cost came to 590 Euro for replacing the faulty air suspension bellows valve. Since the fix, the ride height has returned to normal and the suspension system is working perfectly, no more warning lights or uneven stance. They did a complete inspection of the entire air suspension while doing the repair. Fortunately, they caught the problem early enough that there was no additional damage to other components. The shock absorbers and remaining air springs were all in good condition. Getting it fixed promptly definitely saved me from more extensive suspension failure down the line. The mechanic mentioned that letting these air leaks go unchecked can lead to much costlier repairs if the whole suspension system gets compromised. The car now rides exactly like it should, smooth and level. Definitely worth getting it sorted right away rather than risking further issues. Keep in mind prices might vary, but at least this gives you a ballpark figure for the valve replacement.

Thanks for the advice. Finally got my RS4 back from the shop today. They found and fixed the air leak, turned out it was exactly the same issue with the bellows valve. Total cost came to 620 Euro for parts and labor. The technician showed me where the suspension failure occurred and explained how the faulty valve was causing the uneven ride height. They did a full check of the pneumatic suspension system while it was in. Thankfully no other issues were found. Car is running perfectly now, proper ride height restored and that annoying warning light is finally gone. Drives like new again with no more harsh bumps or sagging. Really glad I got it sorted quickly before it could cause more extensive damage.

Had this exact suspension issue with my 2019 RS6 Avant. The symptoms match perfectly, uneven ride height and harsh ride quality pointed to a failing air suspension system. The root cause was a leaking bellows valve that created an air leak in the driver side air spring. This explained the uneven stance and warning messages. When inspecting the system, a technician found the air spring was not maintaining proper pressure, causing the suspension to bottom out. The complete repair required replacing both the faulty bellows valve and the air spring assembly. While this is a significant repair job, addressing it quickly prevents damage to other suspension components like shock absorbers and surrounding seals. These air suspension issues are known weak points in these performance models. Getting it diagnosed and repaired promptly is crucial, as continuing to drive with failed air springs can lead to more extensive suspension damage. A proper repair should restore normal ride height and eliminate the warning messages. Make sure to have the entire air suspension system checked, as leaks can develop at multiple points.
