RS7 Suspension Height Gone Wrong, Fix Needed ASAP

My RS7 from 2013 (99700km) has developed some concerning suspension issues lately. The ride height seems off between front and rear, making the headlights point incorrectly and causing a really uncomfortable ride. The warning light keeps coming on and scanning showed height control errors. A previous mechanic messed up some work, so I am hesitant to go back. Has anyone experienced similar height sensor or suspension issues with their RS7? What was the fix and how much did it cost? Looking for recommendations on trusted shops that know how to handle the height adjustment system properly.

Had the same issue on an RS6 (2003) at 105000km. The leveling system started acting up, showing identical symptoms, uneven ride height and headlight misalignment. The root cause was a faulty leveling sensor at the rear axle, which wasnt reading the height adjustment correctly. The main symptoms that matched: Inconsistent ride height, Warning lights on dash, Height control error codes, Headlights pointing incorrectly The fix required: Full diagnosis of the load sensor system, Replacement of the defective control rod, Recalibration of the leveling sensors, Testing of the height adjustment system This was a serious issue that needed immediate attention since incorrect ride height affects vehicle stability and safety. The repair isnt just about comfort, its critical for proper vehicle function and road safety. Would recommend getting it checked soon, as continuing to drive with faulty height adjustment can damage other suspension components. Make sure to find a shop that specializes in performance vehicles with experience in leveling system repairs.

Thanks for sharing that experience. I just had nearly identical symptoms on my 2013 RS7 last month. The control module was misreading the height adjustment signals, causing similar leveling system problems. Your description of the diagnosis process matches what I went through. Just wondering, do you recall the total repair cost for your fix? Also, has everything stayed working properly since the repair? Mine seems fine now but keeping an eye on it since these suspension issues can sometimes come back.

The repair costs came to 110 Euro for fixing the control rod on my leveling sensor. The automotive suspension has worked flawlessly since the fix, no more height control restricted warnings or ride height issues. The control module now reads the signals correctly, and the headlight alignment has stayed perfect. Unlike some recurring suspension issues, this particular fix seems to be a permanent solution. The key was getting the right diagnosis and replacing the faulty component rather than just resetting the system. After 6 months of regular driving, the height adjustment system maintains proper calibration without any warning lights or error codes. Make sure to keep an eye on the leveling sensor readings through regular diagnostic checks, but from my experience, once properly repaired, these systems are quite reliable.

Thanks for the feedback. I finally got this sorted out properly. Found a specialist shop that actually knew what they were doing with air suspension systems. The total repair came to 850 Euro, they replaced the height sensors, fixed some wiring issues, and recalibrated the whole system. The fix took two days but it was worth the wait. The ride height is now perfectly level, headlights are properly aligned, and no more warning lights on the dash. The control module reads all correct values and the automotive suspension feels solid again. Much better experience than my previous mechanic who just kept resetting error codes without fixing the underlying problem. This shop did a proper diagnosis first, explained exactly what was wrong with the height adjustment system, and fixed it right the first time. Been about 3 weeks now with regular driving and everything is working as it should. Definitely learned my lesson about finding the right specialist for these complex suspension repairs rather than trying to save money at a general shop.
