RX Hybrid Battery Sensor Issue

I've got a 2014 Lexus RX hybrid with 178077 km on the clock. I'm seeing some weird electrical issues – weak battery when starting, and the lights are flickering weakly. I've run some basic diagnostics and I think it might be a bad battery sensor. Anyone else experienced this?

I had similar symptoms on my RX. It felt like trying to start a car with jumper cables that weren't properly connected - power there, but not enough. Did you check the battery voltage? Could be a deeper battery health issue.

Yeah, voltage seems low. What was your fix, and what ended up being the cause? Did you also suspect the battery sensor?

Turns out, it was a faulty battery sensor. The car was misinterpreting the battery's state, leading to all sorts of electrical gremlins. I'd suggest getting it properly diagnosed by a qualified tech.

Thanks for the insight! Took it to the shop, diagnostics confirmed the battery sensor was defective. Repair cost me 315€. All good now!
