Thanks for the tip! You mean the vacuum hose connected to the intake manifold? Was the hissing sound also present in your case? How bad was your fuel economy at the time?

Yep, exactly that hose! The hissing was definitely there, especially noticeable when accelerating. My MPG went way down, something like a 20% decrease. Honestly, I'd suggest getting it checked out by a workshop, it might be a split you can't easily see. Hope this helps!

Appreciate the insight! Took your advice and brought it in. Turns out it was indeed a cracked intake hose, costing me 100€. Fuel economy is back to normal now. Thanks again!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I have a Lexus RX too, and I had almost the same symptoms a while back. Higher fuel consumption and a check engine light were the first signs for me. Did you check the vacuum hose going into the intake manifold? That's where my leak was.
