RX massage seat switch failure
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Lexus RX owner experienced a failure with the massage seat switch, which wouldn't activate the massage function. An error related to the seat was detected during a scan. A suggestion was made to check the cable and plug connections under the seat, as a similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by fixing a loose connection. Following this advice, the owner took the car to a workshop, where a defective cable connection was identified and repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the connections yet. Was the BMW seat also showing an error code?

Yes, it was showing a code related to the seat heating circuit. If you're not comfortable checking the connections yourself, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. It might save you some hassle and potential further damage.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop as suggested, and you were right, it was a defective cable connection. They fixed it for 95€. Problem solved!

Interesting. I had a similar issue with the driver's seat in my old 2012 BMW 5 Series. The seat heating wasn't working, and it turned out to be a loose connection under the seat. Have you checked the cable and plug connections under the seat? Could be a simple fix.
