RX Mirror Heating Defect

I have a 2023 Lexus RX with a gasoline engine. The mirror heating is defective. Neither side works, and there is an error stored in the error memory. I suspect a faulty connection, but I haven't located it yet. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar issue with my RX. I didn't check the error memory, but the mirrors simply wouldn't heat up, especially noticeable during winter driving. Did you check the fuses related to the mirror heating circuit? Also, are you sure the outside temperature is low enough for the heating to activate? Some models have a temperature threshold.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the fuses; they seem fine. Regarding the temperature threshold, I'm quite sure it was cold enough. Do you recall if your issue was also intermittent, or did the mirrors just completely stop heating?

Mine failed completely. It wasn't intermittent at all. Given that you've checked the fuses and the temperature is low enough, and considering the error code, it does point to a potential wiring or connector issue within the mirror assembly itself. At this point, I'd suggest having a workshop take a look before you start dismantling things yourself. It could save you time and prevent further damage.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a defective plug connection. The repair cost 95€. Thanks again for confirming my suspicions.
