Regarding the battery signal, could you elaborate on what you mean by "going crazy"? Did you observe any specific error messages or unusual behavior prior to the complete failure of the car alarm system? Also, concerning the hard reset, are you referring to disconnecting the main car battery or the auxiliary battery specifically? I want to make sure I am performing the correct procedure before potentially causing further complications.

By "going crazy" I mean the battery signal was flashing on the dashboard and the system was throwing up all sorts of warnings It was definitely a defective battery in my case I'm not an expert but I would suggest taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis They can pinpoint the issue and avoid you replacing parts unnecessarily.

I appreciate the clarification and advice It seems prudent to proceed with a professional system diagnosis at a qualified workshop, as you suggested Your experience reinforces my suspicion of a failing auxiliary battery After replacing the battery, the car alarm is now working as expected Thanks for your help!

I had a similar issue with my S Klasse The battery signal was going crazy and the car alarm was totally dead Did you check the resting voltage on the battery itself? I remember reading somewhere that the system diagnosis can sometimes be a bit vague Maybe try a hard reset of the system before replacing the battery?
