S Klasse power window failure

Thanks for the quick reply! No, I didn't hear any weird noises before they stopped working. And yes, all the windows stopped working at the same time. Does that point to a specific issue, like the power window switch or a central regulator motor?

Given the concurrent failure of all power windows and the absence of preceding anomalous sounds, it is plausible the power window switch is indeed the source of the malfunction. However, considering the complexity of the system, I would recommend a diagnostic assessment by a qualified technician. It is possible the regulator motor is defective. While replacement of the regulator motor or window regulator might seem straightforward, inadvertent damage during door panel removal is a potential risk.

Appreciate the insight. Sounds like I should probably just take it to the shop and get it sorted. It cost around 200€, and it was indeed the power window switch that was defective, causing the error related to the window regulator. Thanks again for the advice!

I understand you are experiencing difficulties with your vehicle's power windows. I own a similar S Klasse model and encountered a comparable situation previously. Have you observed any unusual noises from within the door panels prior to the failure? Were all the power windows inoperable concurrently, or did the issue manifest progressively?
