I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra, but it was the crash sensor that went bad. I am not an expert, but what does the error code say? Did you check the crash sensor and the plug connection?

I haven't used an error code reader yet, and I haven't checked the crash sensor. Where is it typically located? Can I inspect the plug connection without special tools?

On my Astra, it was behind the bumper. You can check the connections with a regular screwdriver, but without knowing the error code, you're flying blind. I would go to a workshop and have it checked professionally.

Based on your information, I went to the workshop. You were right, it was a defective cable connection in the crash sensor. The mechanic fixed it, and it cost me 95€. Thanks again!
