Yeah, I tried clearing the codes, but they came right back. Was your issue definitely coding-related, or something else?

Positive it was the coding itself. After they reset the codes and properly configured the module, the problem disappeared. I'd recommend a workshop with proper diagnostic tools to pinpoint the issue.

Thanks for the info! Took it to a shop, they confirmed the coding issue. Recoding fixed it, total cost 360€

I had a similar issue with my S2000 a while back. The malfunction indicator was driving me nuts, and it turned out to be a glitch in the control module. Did you try resetting the codes to see if it clears?
