S40 Climate Control Failure

Climate control panel on my 2002 Volvo S40 (gasoline engine) has stopped working. I'm getting an error, the heating is weak, and the AC won't turn on. I suspect a defective cable or plug. Has anyone else experienced this? I've checked some connectors, but haven't found anything.

I had something similar happen in my S40. Have you checked the wiring harness near the blower motor? That's where my issue was. What kind of error are you seeing?

Thanks! I haven't checked the wiring harness near the blower motor, I was focused on the ones connected to the control panel. Is it difficult to get to the blower motor harness? Do you remember the error code?

The blower motor is a bit of a pain to get to, but not impossible. I don't recall the exact error code, but it was related to power supply. If you're not comfortable tracing wires, it might be worth taking it to a workshop to save yourself the headache.

I took it to a local shop. It was a corroded connector in the wiring harness, like you suspected! They cleaned it up and charged me 95€ for the repair. Appreciate the advice!
