S60 Infotainment Speedometer Error

I've got a 2015 Volvo S60 hybrid with about 172330 km on it. Recently, I've been getting an error message in both my infotainment system and the speedometer. I had a quick scan done, and it's showing a fault code stored in the error memory, though I don't have the exact code at hand. Anyone experienced something similar? Could it be something serious?

I've got an S60, and I had similar symptoms a while back. Do you know what the fault code refers to? The error messages in the infotainment and speedo are often linked to the car's computer system. Did the diagnostic scanner give any indication of what system the code is related to?

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately, I don't have the specific fault code written down. All I know is that it's stored in the error memory. The guy who scanned it mentioned something about incorrect coding, but wasn't completely sure. Could that be the root of the problem?

Incorrect coding could certainly be the culprit. If it is indeed a coding issue, it's probably best to take it to a workshop with Volvo-specific diagnostic tools. They can re-code the car's computer and hopefully resolve the error messages. It's tricky to diagnose coding errors without the right equipment.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took your advice and went to a workshop. It turned out the coding was indeed incorrect, just like the initial scan suggested. They recoded it, and the error messages are gone! The whole thing cost me about 360€ Appreciate the guidance!
