S60 Tire Pressure Sensor Fault

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2022 Volvo S60 hybrid. I keep getting a 'Tire pressure too low' error on the speedometer, even though my tires are inflated properly. I've checked the pressure multiple times. Is it possible that one of the tire pressure sensors is faulty? The car has 178835 km on it, and I'm seeing an error stored in the error memory related to tire pressure. Anyone else experience this?

It's certainly possible. While rare in newer vehicles, sensor failures do occur. Consider it like a lightbulb – even new ones sometimes fail prematurely. Have you noticed if the error appears more frequently after driving for a while, or is it constant? Also, are all the tires showing the correct pressure readings in the system, or is one consistently off?

Thanks for the reply! The error seems to pop up randomly, whether I've just started driving or I've been on the road for an hour. As for the tire pressures, the system usually shows correct values for all tires briefly, and then the error pops up. Sometimes one tire will show zero pressure briefly.

The intermittent nature of the issue and the brief zero-pressure reading strongly suggest a failing sensor. While other causes are possible, a sensor malfunction, potentially due to a depleted battery, is the most probable culprit given the symptoms. I recommend a visit to a qualified workshop for diagnosis and replacement. Parts and labor may cost around 280€.

Thanks for the help! I took it to the shop, and you were right – it was a faulty tire pressure sensor. They replaced it, and the error is gone. Total cost was indeed 280€. Appreciate the guidance!
