S660 Camshaft Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Honda S660 with a gasoline engine is experiencing poor starting and reduced engine power, with an OBD2 reader indicating a camshaft sensor error. The initial suspicion is a problem with the sensor's cable or plug, despite them appearing intact. Upon further inspection, a tiny break in the cable is discovered and repaired, resolving the issue.

Good call on the corrosion, I'll check it. If the cable and plug seem fine, what else could it be? Is there a way to properly test the camshaft sensor itself?

Honestly, I'm not sure how to properly test it without the right tools. I chased a similar issue for weeks on my Megane. I took it to a workshop. They diagnosed it quickly.

Turns out the cable had a tiny break, almost impossible to see. The garage replaced it for 95€, and now it runs great. Thanks for the help!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Renault Megane, though it was a diesel. Check engine light, engine misfire... Turned out to be a faulty crankshaft sensor. Double-check that cable and plug connection REALLY carefully. Is there any corrosion on the pins?
