Thanks for the tip! Where exactly are those plugs located? Are they easy to get to, or do I need to take the whole mirror assembly apart? I'm not super experienced with car electrics, so I don't want to break anything.

On my Astra, they were behind the mirror glass itself. You had to carefully pop the glass out. But honestly, if you're not comfortable doing that, it might be best to take it to a workshop. It could save you a lot of hassle. The error code thing sounds like it is more than just a simple fix.

Okay, I think you're right. I'll take it to the shop. They quoted me about 95€ to fix it, mentioning a defective cable or plug connection, so it aligns with what you were saying. Thanks for the advice; I really appreciate it!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The mirror heating stopped working, and it turned out to be a bad connection in the wiring. Have you checked the plugs going to the mirrors themselves? Maybe they got loose or corroded?
