A parasitic draw test? Never heard of it! Where do I even start with that? Could a dodgy circuit breaker cause this, or maybe a short circuit somewhere?

A parasitic draw test involves measuring the current drain from the battery when the vehicle is off. This helps identify excessive current consumption. A faulty circuit breaker or a short circuit are plausible causes. However, diagnosing such issues requires specialized equipment and knowledge. Given the potential complexity and the risk of damaging the electrical system, I recommend consulting a qualified technician for a proper diagnosis and repair.

Thanks a lot! Took your advice and went to a workshop. Turns out it was a faulty relay in the fuse box causing a constant drain. Cost me 290€ to get it sorted, but at least it starts now!

I understand you are experiencing electrical issues with your Renault Safrane. The 'Terminal 30' error indicates a persistent power supply interruption. While a new battery eliminates one potential cause, the issue might stem from a parasitic drain, possibly due to a faulty component or wiring. Have you performed a parasitic draw test to measure the current drain when the car is off?
