Sail Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Chevrolet Sail diesel exhibited a charge air temperature sensor error, leading to a check engine light, reduced power, and a whistling noise. The issue was suspected to be a bad cable or plug connection. It was resolved by replacing a corroded connector on the sensor, which restored power and eliminated the error and noise.

Thanks for the tip! Was it the sensor connection itself, or further down the wiring harness? Did you replace the whole harness, or just clean/repair the connector? My heart is sinking at the thought of ripping apart the harness!

In my case, it was the connector itself. Some pins were corroded and causing a bad connection. I would recommend taking it to the workshop. They will be able to properly diagnose and repair it.

It was indeed the connector on the charge air temperature sensor, just like you said! The workshop charged me 95€ to replace the connector and clean everything up. Hissing is gone, power is back, and the check engine light is off! Thanks a million!

I had a similar issue with my Sail! Check the connection to the airflow sensor very closely. Look for any signs of damage or corrosion. That was the culprit for me, causing a similar hissing sound and error codes.
