If it's not pairing, and you're getting an error code, it might be best to get it checked at a workshop. I had similar electrical faults on my old car.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out it was incorrect pairing, but it needed a system reset at the workshop. Cost me 45€, but all good now.

Sounds familiar. Have you checked the pairing procedure? Incorrect pairing can cause those symptoms.
