Saxo Bluetooth Pairing

I've got a 2003 Citroen Saxo, gasoline engine, and something weird is happening. The radio is acting up – my phone just won't connect via Bluetooth. I plugged it into a diagnostic tool, and it threw an error. I'm guessing it's a pairing issue? Anyone else had this?

Bluetooth pairing problems in older systems can be tricky. Have you checked the fuse for the radio unit? Also, is the Bluetooth module integrated into the head unit, or is it a separate component? Knowing this would help in narrowing down the source of the malfunction.

Good call on the fuse, I'll check that first thing. As for the Bluetooth module, that's a stumper. How do I figure out if it's separate or part of the head unit itself?

Considering the car's age, it's most probable the Bluetooth module is integrated. Given the error code and connection issues, there is most likely nothing you can do by yourself. I suggest that you bring the car to a specialized workshop to have it looked at, and the error memory cleared. It's probably the easiest and safest option.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a shop and it turned out to be exactly what you said - cleared the memory and loaded some software. Cost me 45€, but at least it's sorted!
