Scenic ABS Traction Control Fault

My 2007 Renault Scenic (gasoline engine) is throwing a fit! The ABS light's on, traction control's gone bonkers, and the whole ABS system's decided to take a holiday. My local garage is waffling about a speed signal fault and reckons the ECM is knackered. Has anyone else had this nightmare? I've only done 41501 km!

Sounds familiar. I have a Scenic too, and I had almost the same symptoms a while back. ABS light constantly on, traction control light as well and problems with braking. Did they mention anything about which sensor or wheel might be causing the issue?

They weren't too specific, to be honest. Just mumbled something about a faulty speed signal affecting the ABS and traction control, and that it's probably the control unit itself causing all the problems. Does that match your experience? What did you end up doing?

Yep, that rings a bell. Turned out to be a defective control unit as they said. I tried a few things myself, but in the end, I had to bite the bullet and take it to a proper workshop. They replaced the unit, and it sorted everything out. I’d recommend doing the same.

Right, that's what I was afraid of! Sounds like I'm heading for a hefty bill. The garage quoted me around 1000€ for the repair. Thanks for sharing your experience; at least I know what to expect. Cheers!
