Scenic climate control panel dead
Summary of the thread
The climate control panel on a 2014 Renault Scenic diesel was completely non-functional, with diagnostics showing an error, weak heating, and a non-responsive AC. The issue was traced to a defective cable connection to the climate control panel. Cleaning and re-seating the connector resolved the problem, restoring full functionality.

Any specific connectors I should focus on? I can check for voltage with a multimeter, but I'm unsure where to start. The panel is completely dead; no lights, no response.

Completely dead panel points to a power supply issue at the connector. Focus on the main power connector to the climate control unit. Best to have a workshop check the cable or plug connection. Messing with it without proper knowledge could be risky. I once fried a BSI on a Peugeot trying to diagnose a similar issue.

You were spot on! It was a defective cable connection to the climate control panel. They cleaned and re-seated the connector, and it's working perfectly. Total cost was 95€, so I'm relieved it wasn't a bigger problem. Thanks for your help!

Sounds frustrating. The error code is key. Have you checked the cable connections to the climate control panel itself? Renaults can be sensitive to electrical connectors. Could be a loose connection or a corroded pin. Is the panel getting any power, or is it completely dead?
