Scenic Fuel Level Sensor Fault

Hi, I have a 2010 Renault Scenic with a gasoline engine. The check engine light is on, and the engine sometimes stalls at idle. Error memory shows a fuel level sensor fault. Already checked for a defective fuse, but couldn't find one. Mileage is 74756 km. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2010 Renault Scenic with a gasoline engine exhibited a check engine light and occasional stalling at idle, with error memory indicating a fuel level sensor fault. The issue was linked to a fluctuating fuel gauge. The problem was resolved by replacing the faulty fuel level sensor at a workshop.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had something similar with my Scenic. The car dashboard was showing weird fuel levels. Does the fuel gauge fluctuate a lot?

Yes, the fuel gauge does jump around quite a bit. Did you also have the stalling issue?

Yep, same stalling issue and fluctuating fuel gauge. Ended up being a faulty fuel level sensor. Best get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the info! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was the fuel level sensor. Cost me 52€ to replace. All good now!
