Scenic Height Control Issue

Hi, I've got a 2008 Renault Scenic with a gasoline engine, and I'm experiencing some issues with what I believe is the height control. The warning light in the speedometer is on, and it seems like the low beam shines too far down or up. Also, I've noticed the vehicle is at an uneven height, especially the front axle in relation to the rear axle, and the ride is quite bumpy. I had it checked, and there's an error stored in the error memory. A mechanic said the likely cause is a defective control rod on the sensor. Has anyone else had this?

I had something similar on my Scenic. Warning light and bumpy ride sound familiar. Check your leveling sensor, it might be faulty. The leveling sensor is responsible for maintaining the correct ride height, compensating for load and road conditions. A defective control rod on the sensor could definitely be the culprit.

Thanks for the info! When you say 'leveling sensor', is that the same as the height sensor? Where exactly is that located so I can take a look?

Yes, height sensor and leveling sensor are often used interchangeably. I recommend you go to the workshop. I had the same issue and it was in fact the control rod as suspected. The whole repair including parts cost me around 110€

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed the control rod on the height sensor. The cost was similar to what you mentioned. Everything is fixed now.
