Scenic intake manifold flap issue

My 2018 Renault Scenic diesel is having issues. It's got 114524 km on the clock. I've noticed a significant reduction in engine power, and the engine runs really rough, especially when cold. When accelerating, it feels like the car is jerking, and there's a loud hissing noise from the engine bay. My fuel consumption has also gone up. I suspect it might be the intake manifold flap control. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Any advice?

Sounds familiar. I've got a Scenic and had similar symptoms last year: reduced power and a weird hissing noise. Could be your airflow control, specifically the intake manifold flap. Have you checked for any error codes?

Thanks! I haven't checked for error codes myself, as I don't have a code reader. Was it definitely the intake manifold flap control on yours? What did you do to fix it?

Yeah, pretty sure it was the intake manifold flap switch on mine. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop to be sure. Could save you a lot of hassle.

Thanks a lot. I took it to a local garage, and they confirmed it was the intake manifold flap control. The total repair cost was 465€, but at least it's running smoothly again now!
