Scenic Overvoltage Faults
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Renault Scenic is experiencing overvoltage errors, system failures, and a weak battery. The initial suspicion is a bad battery, but a similar case suggests checking the voltage regulator as a potential cause. The problem was ultimately resolved by replacing the defective battery and renewing the circuit protection.

Thanks. What symptoms did you have, and how did you figure out it was the voltage regulator?

The symptoms were very similar: random electrical failures and the battery struggled, especially on cold starts. I took it to a workshop, and they found the faulty voltage regulator. Have it checked by a professional.

I appreciate the advice. I'll get the voltage regulator checked. The issue was solved. The battery was defective and had to be replaced. Also, the circuit protection was renewed. The repair cost 290€.

I had a similar issue with my Scenic. Lots of weird electrical faults popping up. Have you checked your voltage regulator? That was the culprit in my case.
