Scudo Automatic Transmission Problems

My 2012 Fiat Scudo with a gasoline engine has an automatic transmission issue. The parking position seems broken. Sometimes the engine won't start, the check engine light is on, and the gearbox is slipping and shifting roughly. I scanned it and found many error codes. Has anyone else experienced this? I suspect the control unit.

Sounds rough. I have a Scudo too, and I had similar symptoms a while back. The engine wouldn't start, and the gearbox was acting up. What error codes are you seeing?

I can't remember the exact codes right now, but what did you do to fix it? Was it difficult to diagnose? Could it be related to the gear shifter or a transmission sensor?

It wasn't the shifter or a simple sensor. It sounds like you're having the same problem I had. Honestly, save yourself the trouble and take it to a workshop. These auto boxes can be tricky, and you don't want to make things worse.

Thanks for the advice! You're right. I took it in, and they think it's the control unit, like I suspected. They quoted me about 1000€ for the repair... ouch! But at least I know what it is now. Thanks again!
