Seat Alhambra Exhaust Flap Problem

My 2004 Seat Alhambra with a gasoline engine seems to have a problem with the exhaust flaps. There's an error stored, exhaust noise is louder than usual, and the engine runs noisy after a cold start. I suspect the exhaust flap is defective. Anyone experienced this?

I think I had a similar issue with my Alhambra. Loud exhaust noise, especially on cold starts. Was your engine performance also affected?

Yes, that sounds like what I experienced. I would suggest a workshop visit to check the exhaust components. They will know more about exhaust valves.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I got the exhaust valves replaced. Total cost was 190€. Runs much better now.
