Thank you for your input. Could you provide further specifics regarding the sensor issue you encountered? Was it straightforward to diagnose, or did it necessitate specialized equipment?

In my case, diagnosis was not particularly straightforward. It required a process of elimination to pinpoint the faulty sensor. While some basic diagnostic tools can read error codes, identifying the specific sensor or wiring fault often necessitates specialized equipment or expertise. It sounds like we had the same issue. Considering that the potential cause is already suspected to be a wiring fault, it might be prudent to consult a qualified technician. It will likely save you time and effort. I would anticipate a repair cost in the region of 100€.

Acknowledged. I appreciate your assistance and will proceed with the workshop visit. The repair cost was as you predicted 95€. The defective part was indeed a faulty cable plug.

I have a Seat Alhambra as well, though I do not know the exact year of manufacture. I experienced a similar issue with the door handle electronics. The keyless entry stopped functioning, and the error memory also contained a record of the fault. In my case, it was a sensor issue within the door electronics. It might be a simple wiring fault, like a defective plug connection related to the door switch or door handle itself.
