Seat Alhambra Sound System Issue

Sounds like a faulty head unit, which isn't uncommon. Does the sound system completely cut out, or do you get any speaker crackle or static noise before it goes silent? Have you tried any of the dashboard controls, particularly the volume control, to see if there's any response at all? Sometimes a simple fuse check is worthwhile too. The error memory is useful – can you pull the specific code? That might help narrow down whether it's a software glitch or a hardware failure.

The sound system is completely dead, no speaker crackle or static noise. I have tried all the dashboard controls with no response. I will check the error code, but can you tell me where to find the fuse for the sound system? Is it in the engine bay or under the dashboard?

Okay, complete silence and unresponsive controls points even more towards a hardware fault in the display unit. I'd locate the fuses first. Check the owner's manual; it usually has a diagram. There's often one fuse box in the engine bay and another under the dashboard. Once you have located the fuse for the sound system, make sure it's not blown. If the fuse is fine, it's highly likely that the display itself needs replacement, as you suspected. Given the symptoms and stored error, and the fact that you've checked the basics, it's probably best to get it checked out by a professional at a workshop.

Thanks for the help. Took it to a certified shop and they confirmed the display unit was faulty. Ended up costing 725€ to replace it. Everything works now.
