Seat Alhambra starting issue

I'm about ready to set my Seat Alhambra on fire. It's a diesel from and it simply refuses to start! Sometimes it starts briefly and then dies immediately. I have an immobilizer problem, I am sure. I have an error stored in the error memory. Seems like an incorrect programming of the key. Has anyone had similar issues? I really do not want to explore any immobilizer bypass options.

I had a similar issue with my Alhambra. The security light was on, and the engine would start and then immediately die. Have you checked the key signal?

Key signal? How do I check that? I don't have remote start, so I'm not sure if it's related. Is that something I can do myself or is it workshop time?

Yes, it's likely the key. In my case, the immobilizer fault was due to the key not being recognised properly. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get the key reprogrammed. It's the easiest solution.

The problem is resolved. The key was incorrectly programmed and I had it reprogrammed for 45€. Thanks for the help.
