Seat Alhambra Tire Pressure Sensor Issue

I'm getting really frustrated with my Seat Alhambra. The 2000 gasoline engine is running fine, but the tire pressure light is always on. The speedometer says 'Tire Pressure Too Low', and the error memory says it's a sensor fault. Mileage is 80909 km. I think the sensor battery is dead. Anyone seen this before? This TPMS thing is bugging me.

I had a similar TPMS thing with my old Opel Corsa. The gauge was off, and the light was always on. Have you checked they're all seated right? Sometimes just checking the tires and inflating them can fix it. Might be worth a shot before you go deeper. Could be the sensor. How old are they?

Thanks. When you say 'seated right', what do you mean? Is there a way to check without taking the tire off? They're original, so from 2000. Could that be why it's faulty?

By 'seated right,' I mean the sensor is positioned against the wheel and the valve stem is tight. You'd usually hear a hiss if it wasn't. Given their age, the battery being dead is likely. I took my Corsa to a shop, and they said the same thing. They have tools to read the sensor data. Maybe do that.

Just to let you know, it's sorted. The sensor battery was the problem, like we thought. Replaced all four, and the error's gone. Cost about 280€ all in. Thanks for the help!
