Seat Altea Air Suspension Problem

My 2011 Seat Altea with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches. It has around 166600 km on the clock. The air suspension seems to have completely failed. The car won't lift anymore, it's leaning to one side, and I'm getting an error message on the dash. Plus, the ride is incredibly bumpy now. I've got an error stored in the memory pointing towards a faulty air suspension bellows valve. Could this be the definite cause of the suspension issue, or am I missing something?

I had a similar issue with my Seat Altea a while back. The pneumatic suspension just gave out. Did you check the air lines for any leaks? That could also be the cause.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the air lines myself, to be honest. Where exactly should I be looking for these leaks? Is it something easily visible, or do I need special equipment?

Yeah, sounds like the valve, to be honest. I didn't check the lines either, just took it straight to a mechanic. They diagnosed it pretty quickly. Best bet is to get it checked professionally, especially if you're not familiar with air suspension systems.

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was indeed the suspension air bag valve. The repair cost me 590€, but now the Altea is riding smoothly again.
