Seat Altea Diesel Engine Mount Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Seat Altea diesel was experiencing rough idling, suspected to be due to an engine mount issue. A workshop suggested a possible defective cable or plug connection. Another owner shared a similar experience, where a faulty connection on the front right engine mount was the cause. The issue was resolved by addressing the loose and corroded plug connection, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Which mount was giving you grief? Was it obvious once you got in there?

It was the front right, if I remember correctly. It wasn't immediately obvious, but the plug was loose and corroded. It's worth getting a workshop to check it over properly just to be sure, especially if the rubber mount itself looks okay. Mount wear can cause similar symptoms and this could save you a lot of hassle and money.

Turned out to be exactly as you said, a dodgy connection. 95€ and she's purring like a kitten again.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar wobble with my Altea a while back. It was a faulty connection on one of the engine mounts. Check the wiring and plugs before you start ripping things apart.
