Seat Altea Diesel Mixture Preparation Error

I'm experiencing a mixture preparation error with my 2011 Seat Altea diesel. Symptoms include reduced engine power, the check engine light is on, rough engine running, jerking during acceleration, and occasional engine stalls at idle. I suspect a defective injection valve or injector. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues on my old Renault Megane. Check engine light, rough idle, the works. Could be fuel injection related. Do you know when the spark plugs were last changed?

Spark plugs were replaced about 10000 km ago. The error code points towards a rich mixture. Could a faulty oxygen sensor cause these symptoms along with a fuel injection problem?

Ah, rich mixture makes sense. Mine never showed that specific code, but it was a bad injector. I'd get it checked professionally. Probably best to take it to the workshop before things get worse.

Defective injector confirmed. I replaced all four to be sure. Total cost 515€, thanks for the help.
