Seat Altea Diesel Rough Running
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Seat Altea diesel is experiencing rough running and a check engine light, with an error indicating a need to 'reset quantity drift compensation.' This suggests a potential issue with the fuel injector. The recommended solution is to take the car to a workshop for a professional reset of the fuel injection drift compensation adjustment, which resolved the problem effectively.

Car sensors? What did you mean by that exactly? Was it also a fuel injection thing? I am having flashbacks of expensive repairs.

Yeah, it was fuel injection related. Needed a compensation adjustment after they replaced the injector. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop. Those fuel injection systems can be tricky and it sounds like yours needs more than just a system reset.

Took it to the shop and you were spot on. They reset the fuel injection drift compensation adjustment and it purrs like a kitten now. Cost me 515€ but worth it to get rid of that awful shudder. Thanks for the advice!

Rough running and check engine light? Sounds familiar! Had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Did you check the car sensors?
