Seat Altea fresh air blower not working

My 2013 Seat Altea with a gasoline engine is having issues with the fresh air blower. It's not working at all. The HVAC system control panel lights up, but no air comes out, no matter the fan speed setting. I scanned it with my OBD tool and there's an error stored related to the blower motor.

Sounds like the classic Altea cabin fan issue. I had similar gremlins with my Altea a while back. The blower motor resistor pack can also be the culprit, but since you have a fault code stored, the blower motor itself is more likely. Did you check the relevant fuses first? It's a long shot, but always worth a quick check before tearing things apart.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, all seem fine. Where is the blower motor resistor pack located? Is it difficult to access?

Yeah, if the fuses are good and you're getting a specific blower motor error code, it's pointing directly to the motor itself. The resistor pack controls the fan speed, so if that fails, you usually still get some airflow, just not at all speeds. The resistor pack is usually near the blower motor inside the HVAC system. Given the error code and your symptoms, I'd say just get it to a workshop. Messing with the electrical wiring without proper knowledge could cause further problems.

Took it to the workshop and they confirmed it was the blower motor. 365€ later and I have airflow again. Thanks for the insight!
