Seat Altea multiple system issues
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Seat Altea owner reported multiple system issues, including a low tire pressure warning, ABS light activation, steering wheel vibration, and increased steering effort. Despite inflating the tires, the pressure continued to drop, suggesting a possible pressure loss. The problem was identified as a defective tire valve, which was causing the issues with the tire monitoring system, ABS, and steering. Replacing the faulty valve resolved the problems.

Yes, I have checked the tire pressure with a gauge, and they seem fine after inflating. However, a couple of days later, the tire pressure is low again. Could a defective valve really cause all those problems ABS, shaking, and power steering issues?

Yup, sounds very familiar. Defective valve could be the reason, causing slow pressure loss and messing with the tire monitoring system. That triggers the ABS and can affect steering. I'd advise visiting a workshop to get the valve checked and replaced.

Just a heads-up it was indeed a faulty valve in one of the tires, like you thought. Got it replaced, cost around 280€. Thanks for the help!

Strange symptoms. I had a similar issue with my Altea. Kept getting a low tire pressure warning, and the ABS light came on sometimes. Have you checked the tire pressure with a gauge, even after inflating?
