Seat Altea solar sensor fault and low heating output

I've got a bit of a head-scratcher with my 2010 Seat Altea gasoline engine. The car's got about 67000 km on it. I'm getting a solar sensor fault stored in the error memory, and the heating output is really low. I've read that it could be a defective cable or plug connection. Any ideas?

Oh, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Altea's sunlight sensor. The heating was acting up, and the error codes were driving me crazy. I remember reading somewhere that the temperature sensor and solar sensor are linked, kinda like how your ears and throat are connected. Could be a dodgy connection somewhere. Have you checked the wiring?

Wiring, huh? Where exactly should I be looking? Is it something I can check myself, or am I better off taking it to a professional?

Well, I'm no mechanic, but when mine went haywire, I poked around a bit. Honestly, I'd say unless you're comfortable with car electrics, it's probably best to let a workshop handle it. In my case, I tried cleaning the connections but ended up making it worse! Save yourself the potential headache and get it checked out. Sounds like the same problem I had. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a faulty connection, just like you said. 95€ later, the daylight sensor fault is gone, and the heater is working properly again.
