Interesting. The timing issues make sense. How did you figure it out on your Corsa? And what exactly was wrong with the crankshaft sensor? Like, the sensor itself or something else?

Yep, same problem! The sensor itself was fine, but the cable leading to it was cracked and corroded. Made the car feel like it was running on two cylinders. Honestly, I'd suggest checking the wiring thoroughly or just take it to a workshop. They'll sort it out faster.

Turns out, the wiring suspicion was spot on. The shop found a dodgy connection on the camshaft sensor. 95€ later, it's running smooth again. Thanks for the help!

Whoa, sounds rough! I had similar engine misfire symptoms with my old Opel Corsa. Turned out to be a faulty crankshaft sensor messing with the timing. Is the camshaft position sensor on the Seat Altea easy to get to?
