Seat Altea sun blind issue

Anyone seen this before? My 2012 Seat Altea, diesel engine, has a dodgy sun blind. It's stuck. Doesn't retract or extend. Error code flagged up. Pretty sure it's the motor. Annoying, as I need the UV protection, especially in summer.

Strange. I had something similar on my old Renault Scenic. The rear window visor jammed and made a right racket. Is yours making any noise?

Noise? Not really, just a faint whirring sound. Did you manage to fix the sun protection yourself, or did you need to get it sorted at a garage?

Definitely sounds like the motor. Mine was the same. I tried to fix the car sunshade myself, but those blinds are a pain to get to. Ended up biting the bullet and taking it to a workshop.
