Seat Altea Turn Signal Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2005 Seat Altea diesel had a persistent turn signal issue, with an error message indicating a lighting system fault. Despite replacing the bulb and checking the flasher relay, the problem persisted, suggesting a defective cable or plug connection. Ultimately, a workshop visit revealed a faulty plug connection on the turn signal lamp, resolving the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the quick response! When you say 'acting up', what exactly do you mean? Same symptoms, like the error message in the speedometer and the lighting fault? And did bulb replacement solve the issue completely?

Yeah, same symptoms, the error message and the faulty light. Bulb replacement did temporarily work, but the problem came back. In the end, I had to take it to a workshop. They sorted it out properly; probably best to get yours checked professionally too.

Took it to the workshop. A faulty plug connection on the turn signal lamp was the problem. 95€ later and it's sorted. Thanks for the input!

I had something similar with my Altea. The indicator light was acting up, and I was getting errors. Did you check the bulb replacement? It might be a simple fix.
