Seat Arona Diesel Preheating Lamp Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Seat Arona diesel is experiencing a persistent preheating lamp issue, likely due to a faulty glow plug, which affects engine combustion and causes rough idling, especially during cold starts. The problem was confirmed by another owner with similar symptoms, who suggested replacing the glow plug. The issue was resolved by replacing the defective glow plug at a workshop.

Yeah, the rough idle is definitely there, especially when the engine is cold. Did you also get an error code in the memory? What was the fix for your car?

Yep, error code and rough idle on cold start, all the same symptoms. For me, it was indeed a faulty glow plug. Given your mileage and the symptoms, it's highly likely you have the same problem. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to confirm and get it replaced. Better to be safe than sorry with these diesel engines.

Took it to the shop as suggested. It was a defective glow plug, just like we thought. Cost 440€ to get it sorted. Thanks a bunch for the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Arona a while back. The preheating lamp stayed on, and the engine light came on too. Did you notice any rough idle, especially during a cold start?
