Seat Arona Diesel Rough Start Issue

I'm having issues with my Seat Arona, a diesel model. Lately, I've noticed it's running rough when I first start it, especially when it's cold. I've also noticed a slight increase in fuel consumption. I scanned for errors, and it's showing something related to the PTC heater. Could a defective electric auxiliary heater really cause these symptoms? I suspect it's an electrical fault in the heating system, but I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas?

Interesting. Is the blower motor working properly? Does the engine eventually reach operating temperature, or does it take a long time?

The blower motor seems fine. The engine struggles in the first few minutes, especially when it's cold. It eventually warms up, but it takes longer than before. Could the PTC heater really be the cause?

A faulty PTC heater is a common issue on those. It's there to help the engine heat up, especially diesels. If it's not working, it'll cause the problems you describe. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop; they can confirm the fault and replace it.

The workshop confirmed the PTC heater was the problem. A replacement cost 350€, and the car now runs smoothly from the start. Thanks for the help.
