Did the dashboard warning light up constantly, and did mirror heating also fail? What was the final diagnosis?

Yes, the dashboard warning was on, and the mirror heating was definitely not working. It turned out to be a defective cable connection to the fog sensor. The automotive sensor itself was fine, but the connection was faulty. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop; it might save you a lot of headaches.

Confirmed cable defect on fog sensor. 95€ repair. Thanks for the confirmation.

I had something similar with my Arona. The climate control was acting up and the visibility was terrible due to frozen spray nozzles. Have you checked the car sensor connections near the front of the vehicle? Sometimes a loose plug can cause all sorts of issues. Think of it like a loose wire in a lamp – it can make the bulb flicker or not turn on at all.
