When you mention checking for power to the pump and the relay, could you elaborate on the specific procedure you undertook with your BMW? I'm working with the LED headlights, and I want to be certain I'm following a compatible diagnostic approach.

Right, my BMW issue was traced to a faulty relay AND a small crack in the washer fluid reservoir, which caused a slow leak and eventually burned out the pump. The relay was an easy swap, but finding the leak was a pain. Given your Arona's symptoms and the fact it's affecting both the headlight washers and the windshield washers, I'd say get it to a workshop. Save yourself the headache. It might be something simple, but it could also be more complex, and you don't want to risk damaging the LED headlight system further.

Resolution achieved. Defective cable connection to the headlight cleaning system pump identified and rectified. Repair cost totaled 165€. Thank you for your input.

Interesting. I had a similar malfunction with my old BMW 3 Series, though it was the Xenon headlights giving me grief back then. The windshield washer also packed it in at the same time. Check for any signs of a leak near the pump, it could be a cracked reservoir or a perished hose. Is the headlight cleaning system pump getting power? Have you checked the relay?
