Seat Arona Power Window Problem

I am experiencing an issue with my Seat Arona (2017 model, diesel engine). Recently, I replaced the vehicle's battery, and now the power windows are completely unresponsive. I've scanned for error codes, and there is one stored related to the window regulator initialization. It seems the window controls are no longer functional on any of the doors. I suspect it might be related to the battery replacement, but I'm unsure how to proceed. Has anyone encountered something similar? I am trying to estimate if removing the door panel and checking the window motor is something I could do myself, or if I need to take it to a workshop. I was quoted 290€ to fix it. Any insights would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem with my Opel Corsa after replacing the battery. The power windows stopped working, and an error code appeared. Have you tried any basic troubleshooting steps, such as checking the fuses related to the window controls? Sometimes, it's a simple fix.

Thank you for your suggestion! I've checked all the fuses, and they appear to be fine. I'm not very familiar with car electronics beyond that. Did you manage to fix the issue yourself, or did you require professional assistance with your Opel Corsa?

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to resolve the issue on my own. The window motor seemed fine, but the car needed a specific reset procedure performed by a technician with the correct diagnostic tools. Considering you've already checked the fuses, it sounds like a similar situation. It might be best to take it to a workshop to have the window regulator re-initialized; that 290€ quote sounds reasonable.

I wanted to share that I took the Seat Arona to a workshop. They confirmed the window regulator needed re-initialization after the battery replacement. The final bill came to 290€, which is what I expected. Thanks for the advice!
